In a beautiful piece of unofficial DC Comics art from Elsa Charretier featuring Swamp Thing and Abby Arcane, the character's relationship is given a much-deserved spotlight. As part of her Patreon offerings, Charretier shared a mini print she did where she captured the beauty of the pair's iconic romance. The Swamp Thing art is elegant and shows the softer side of the hero, who's often maligned for his monstrous appearance.
Swamp Thing is one of DC's most memorable heroes, first appearing in House of Secrets #92 by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson. However, the hero would soon after get his own ongoing series, where DC Comics revealed the tragic origin of Alec Holland. After nearly being killed in an explosion, Holland, a scientist, would jump into the swamp, where he would be transformed into Swamp Thing after the combination of his experiments and the Green changed him forever. While learning the true nature of his existence in Alan Moore's run on the hero, the protector of the Green would fall in love with Abby Arcane, who he would later help save from death, reclaiming her soul. The pair's romance and relationship are iconic in DC Comics, as Arcane sees Swamp Thing's real beauty, despite his appearance.
