World of Krypton #1 just confirmed that the name of Superman's goofiest relative is indeed still canon. The Kryptonian’s name is Kru from the House of El, and he’s primed to be the series’ main villain. So yes, he is a cruel man with the name Kru-El, and somehow people are surprised he betrayed his family. The six-issue series is written by Robert Venditti and illustrated by Michael Avon Oeming.
