Street Fighter 6 has been confirmed to make an appearance at San Diego TwitchCon. Since its announcement in February, fighting game fans have been curious as to how the newest entry in the series will turn out. The aesthetic changes and new gameplay additions make Street Fighter 6a fresh, new title for fans of the genre. Its appearance at TwitchCon shows Capcom’s push for the newest entry to garner as much of the spotlight before its release in 2023.
Street Fighter 5 was an exciting new entry in the long-running series that introduced new mechanics and new characters for the fanbase to sink their teeth into. Additions such as V-Triggers and other similarly named mechanics made gameplay much more tactical. However, after years of Street Fighter 5, a new entry was due to make its appearance, especially after the introduction of the character Luke. Upon his announcement, Capcom said that he would represent how Street Fighter 6 would play.

Street Fighter 6’s presence at TwitchCon was announced by the Street Fighter Twitter account on September 28. Attendees will be able to play a demo of the game that features eight of Street Fighter 6'splayable cast, including Ryu, Ken, Juri, Kimberly, Chun-Li, Guile, Jaime, and Luke. While no other information on the demo has been revealed yet, it more than likely will be a vertical slice of what the full game will actually be.
