The issue seems to stem from the opening cutscene, which some have noted leads to a black screen that seems to soft lock the game entirely. Rock Paper Shotgun's hardware editor, James Archer, also made mention of the fact that they were experiencing an «impassable» black screen, rendering the game unplayable from that point on.
