Have you ever looked at food in a video game and thought to yourself "Damn, that looks good?" It happens more often than you might think, which is why official cookbooks based on video games is a bigger industry than you might realize. Most surprising of all upon learning that a lot of games already have their own cookbooks is that Stardew Valley isn't one of them, but that's about to change.
Published by Random House Worlds, Stardew Valley's first-ever official cookbook will launch in April 2024, but you can pre-order your copy right now. Naturally a game built around farming and foraging includes a lot of recipe ideas, and 50 inspired by the cosy sim have made it into the cookbook's pages. It seems different sections of the book will be inspired by various seasons, apt as another key feature of the game is the passing of the seasons and the changes brought about to gameplay by each one.
