Stardew Valley remains one of the most popular indie titles of all time, continuing to pull in new fans and returning veterans six years after its original release. The farming-RPG has grown steadily during that time, with a stream of new updates that have grown the world beyond Pelican Town. These additions have also expanded Stardew Valley's extensive crafting system, offering new tools, devices, and gear for players to create.
Crafting is essential in Stardew Valley, and many of the top-tier devices can save players hours of work on their farm. However, many of the most important items that players can craft use Battery Packs as an ingredient, which can be difficult to acquire.
Stardew Valley: How To Get Clay
Battery Packs are one of the most difficult ingredients for players to acquire consistently in Stardew Valley, as the process of getting them is semi-random. The first method of getting Battery Packs that players will probably unlock is the Lightning Rod, which requires Foraging Level 6, 1 Iron Bar, 1 Refined Quartz, and 1 Bat Wing to craft. Lightning Rods can be placed on the player's farm, and have a chance to be struck by lightning during stormy weather. The day after being struck by lightning, a Lightning Rod will produce a single Battery Pack.
Although Lightning Rods are quite cheap to build, the random nature of their Battery Pack production makes them unreliable. Players who are looking for a more reliable (though slower and more expensive) method should try to unlock the Solar Panel recipe by completing the Island Ingredients Special Order after reaching Ginger Island. A Solar Panel requires 10 Refined Quartz, 5 Iron Bars, and 5 Gold Bars and will produce a Battery Pack after seven days of sunlight.
