The Book of Boba Fett got a mind-blowing billboard in Times Square, in which Boba Fett himself appears in 3D. The Book of Boba Fett was the most recent Star Wars TV series to hit Disney+. The series premiered on December 29, 2021 and followed Fett (Temuera Morrison) and mercenary Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) on Tatooine as they take over Jabba the Hut's former territory. The Book of Boba Fett also frequently cuts to the past and sees Fett join a tribe of Tusken Raiders, thus showing what took place between The Return of the Jedi and The Mandalorian.
The series received some mixed reviews from critics and audiences, and many felt that the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu stole the show once they appeared in The Book of Boba Fett episode 5. However, most agreed that Morrison's performance was one of the highlights of the series and brought more emotion to Fett's anti-hero story. While there aren't plans for a Book of Boba Fett season 2, Morrison may still yet reprise his role in other Star Wars projects, such as the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
