Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka show is now filming, as confirmed by a new behind-the-scenes photo from the live-action Star Wars series. The launch of Disney+ in 2019 brought new life to the galaxy far, far away thanks to the debut of The Mandalorian. It marked the first of many live-action shows in development from Lucasfilm for the streaming service, which included the eventual announcement of an Ahsoka series that returns Rosario Dawson as the former Jedi padawan who appeared in prior animated Star Wars TV shows.
Ahsoka Tano's upcoming spinoff comes after appearances in The Mandalorian season 2 and The Book of Boba Fett. Despite Lucasfilm's official announcement of the series in 2020, there is not much official information about it. There have been reports that Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader after Obi-Wan Kenobi, while Natasha Liu Bordizzo is attached to play live-action Sabine Wren. Additional speculation suggests that other characters from Star Wars Rebels will appear.

Now, Lucasfilm has officially confirmed that Ahsoka has started filming. The official Star Wars Twitter account shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the series, showing a chair with the show's logo on it and the signature black cowboy hat of Dave Filoni, who created Ahsoka Tano and is writing, directing, and producing the show, hanging off the back. The Ahsoka set photo doesn't include any other revelations about the series or show Rosario Dawson on set. There is currently no official release date for Ahsoka.
