Instead of two teams of four going at each other's throats, Tableturf Battles are one-on-one turn-based card battles with players trying to get as much ink covered on the board before the 12 turns run out.

Before players can participate in Tableturf Battles, they will need to rank up to level 4 by playing a couple of multiplayer matches in the lobby. After that, the Tableturf Dojo will finally open up, and here's where players can find it in the main hub.
The rules of Splatoon 3's Tableturf Battles are pretty simple. With each turn, players can choose one of their cards to put down on the board. Players will earn points based on the amount of paint that the card has. However, players can only ink a spot next to an area they already have control over. And once a spot is claimed, there's no taking it back from the other player.
