Gary Weeks, who plays Department of Damage Control’s Agent Foster in Spider-Man: No Way Home, says he wants a DODC spinoff series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No Way Home is officially one of the most successful comic book movies of all time, which is thanks in large part to the film’s multiversal concept. The film sees iconic characters from past Sony films brought into the MCU, including Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Lizard, Electro, and a pair of Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's webslingers.
Before Peter Parker and Doctor Strange cast the spell that prompts multiversal madness, No Way Home picks ups with Far From Home’s Mysterio revealing Spider-Man’s secret identity and implicating him as a murderer. After the aftermath of this reveal, DODC unites along with the New York City Police Department to show up at the Parker residence to arrest Peter, with May, MJ, and Ned Leeds also being interrogated. Initially a subsidiary of SHIELD, the DODC is a federal executive department that specializes in dealing with enhanced conflicts/cleaning up post-battle damages. For example, the DODC can be seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming’s opening scene in which the department terminates Adrian Toomes’ private contract following the Battle of New York. Although the DODC has only appeared in the Homecoming trilogy, the agent who helped give Vulture the bad news thinks a spin-off series could definitely work.
