When it comes to Spelunky 2, you’re going to be playing multiple runs. Ideally, you’ll want to get through levels as quickly as possible to reduce the chances of taking damage. Even though you have health, it’s very easy to lose chunks of it considering some enemies can deal high amounts of damage.

The idea is that the fewer enemies you run into, the better, which is why many strategies revolve around avoiding confrontation. However, if you’re planning to get to all the secrets, then you’re going to have to play riskier. This involves completing the Sun Challenge.
There are three activities that revolve around celestial bodies and the Sun Challenge is one of them. This challenge is run by the mysterious NPC Tun, a new character who seems to know more about the caves than she lets on. She can be encountered sporadically throughout runs, and she even has secret shops hidden within the walls.
Her biggest role is offering you a chance to undertake these celestial challenges by finding her in the designated area. For the Sun Challenge, you’ll need to reach world seven known as the Sunken City. Tun’s chamber will spawn in the corner of levels 7-1, 7-2, or 7-3, but the first has the highest chance. She’ll charge you $50,000 to participate, so make sure you save plenty of treasure.
Unlike the other challenges which involve creative navigation, the Sun Challenge revolves around survival. You’ll be thrust into a contained room with an overwhelming number of enemies to face. Your only goal is to survive 30 seconds and should you succeed, you’ll earn the Arrow Of Light.
