It was less than two years ago that Sony revealed that it had recruited former Apple man Nicola Sebastiani as the head of its nascent PlayStation Mobile division, though just recently, it was confirmed that Sebastiani had left the company to “pursue a new, undisclosed opportunity”. In the aftermath of his departure, it seems Sony has already got his replacements in place.
That’s right- replacements. Plural. As spotted by @Zuby_Tech on Twitter, the LinkedIn pages of Kris Davis and Olivier Courtemanche have revealed that the duo have been chosen by Sony to be the new co-heads of PlayStation Mobile.
Both Davis and Courtemanche have been at Sony for a little over a year, and until recently, both were serving as senior directors of the PlayStation Mobile division. Prior to their roles at Sony, Davis was at Kabam for six years, while Courtemanche spent a little under a year at Meta, and six years at Zynga before that.
Though things have been fairly quite on the PlayStation Mobile front, Sony has expressed on a number of occasions that it intends to greatly expand its presence in the space. Last year, it acquired mobile developer Savage Game Studios, which is currently working on PlayStation Mobile’s first AAA live service game.
