Like most of the Game Gear Sonics, Sonic Triple Trouble didn’t get nearly as much attention as its 16-bit cousins. Although known for being one of the better 8-bit Sonic titles, it still suffered from common shortcomings owing to the Game Gear’s limited hardware, such as poor framerates and a square screen that greatly limited a player’s view.
But "what if Sonic Triple Trouble had been originally released on the Sega Genesis / MegaDrive, after Sonic 3 & Knuckles?" Noah Copeland asked.
The sonic fan and game developer has been working on a 16-bit remake of Sonic Triple Trouble for over a year, finally releasing the answer to his own question earlier this week.
