Last year, Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed Infinity, a live-service take on its mega-popular Assassin's Creed franchise that will offer new locations, characters, and more as time goes on. Ubisoft has yet to show off Assassin's Creed Infinity gameplay, but a new concept video imagines what the game would look like if it featured a Persian setting and if it were built using the powerful Unreal Engine 5.
The video, created by YouTube channel TeaserPlay, shows an assassin exploring a strike Persian landscape. It features a large walled-in city, vast open landscapes, ancient ruins, a desert oasis, and more. Not much is shown in terms of how the game would play, but it would presumably take its cues from other Assassin's Creed games, with a focus on parkour, stealth-action, and the like. The video chose Persia/Iran as its setting because that is apparently one of the locations rumored for Assassin's Creed Infinity.

As it stands, rumors are pretty much all Assassin's Creed fans have to go on when it comes to the actual content in Assassin's Creed Infinity. However, it's possible more information on the project will be announced at the next Ubisoft Forward event, scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 10 at 12:00pm PT. It's expected that Ubisoft will unveil the future of the Assassin's Creed franchise during the presentation, but it remains to be seen if that will include both Assassin's Creed Infinity and Assassin's Creed Rift or just one of the upcoming titles.
