Sega has shown off the first look at the Sonic Jam legacy skin which players will be able to use in Sonic X Shadow Generations.
The skin, which is inspired by one of Sonic’s first 3D appearances, Sonic Jam, will be available in-game for players who subscribe to the game’s newsletter.
Players must do this by November 1 in order to be eligible for the skin.
It’s possible that the skin will be added to the game for all players following the game’s release, as was the case for exclusive skins in Sonic Superstars.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released on October 25 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The PS5 and PS4 versions of the game will include exclusive “Extended Prologue Animations with deleted scenes”.
The game’s Digital Deluxe Edition will allow players to play it three days early, and will include an additional character skin and level for Shadow (releasing holiday 2024), a Terios Skin, an Extra BGM Pack, a Digital Art Book, a Digital Soundtrack and Skill Points for Sonic Generations.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is an updated version of the 2011 platformer Sonic Generations.
The original game sees Sonic and friends teaming up with their past selves, with the game playing out across two styles of gameplay: ‘classic’, which is mostly side-scrolling, and ‘modern’, which features 3D levels.
The new version will feature a “complete remaster” of Sonic Generations, with “upgraded visuals and new bonus content”, as well as new content featuring Shadow.
