Though some fans were quite disappointed with the Season 2 finale, showrunner Ryan Condal explained that they are trying to build anticipation, giving the highly anticipated event of Fire & Blood “the time and the space that it deserved.”
The entirety of House of the Dragon Season 2 builds to a grand and explosive finale. However, when the final episode of Season 2 aired on August 4, it did not conclude with a thrilling battle, disappointing some viewers given the long wait for Season 3.
