Netflix released its newest reality show, Snowflake Mountain, last week, and the survival camp competition series is already gaining notoriety. The premise involves 10 entitled millennials from the U.S. and U.K. whose families have sent them up to survive in the mountains without even basic amenities from civilization, such as shelter, running water, and Wifi. With no parents to enable them, the contestant's only guidance comes from ex-military soldiers Matt Tate and Joel Graves.
The two survivalist mentors watch over the crew of spoiled twenty-somethings, as they attempt to face the harsh conditions of the mountain wilderness on Snowflake Mountain. The veterans are often tasked with teaching even the most basic skills to their inexperienced pack while being met with the most outrageous defiance from them. Their militant, tough love, eventually leads one contestant to be crowned Wilderness Warrior and $50,000. Expedition adventurer Bear Grylls may have competition as Netflix's favorite survivalist hosts.
