Rebellion has kicked off Sniper Elite 5 Season Pass 2 with the release of a new mission and some new weapons – there’s a mixture of paid and free weaponry.
The new mission Rough Landing takes Karl Fairburne behind enemy lines once again, but it’s a rescue mission as he’s hoping to find and aid downed Allied airmen, one of whom is a high-ranking officer with critical intelligence. While they’ve crashed in dense woodland and with nearby cave system to explore, chances are they’ve disguised themselves as some gendarmes and teamed up with a French Resistance cell run out of the backrooms of a cafe.
Alongside this mission, there’s also the addition of the iconic Mosin-Nagant rifle – quite how it made its way over form the Eastern Front isn’t clear – and the Swedish Sjögren shotgun.
A new game update has also arrived to bundle a free Trench Warfare Weapons Pack for all players. This adds access to three new guns: the Carl Gustav M/1945 SMG, the Trench Gun and the Double 1866 pistol.
All of this has been developed in partnership with Flix Interactive, with Season Pass 2 set to deliver a bunch more content over the coming months. You can grab the pass as a whole for £24.99/$29.99/€29.99 or get the Rough Landing Mission and Weapon Pack standalone for the less appealing price of £11.99/$14.99/€14.99.
