Skybound Entertainment, the company responsible for the games in and franchises, is aiming to expand its IP (intellectual property) across multiple platforms, from gaming to TV shows and movies – and two of its top representatives will be speakers in a keynote at Gamescom Latam 2024. Founded in 2010 by Robert Kirkman and David Alpert, Skybound is the company responsible for the comic series and has been involved with many of the franchise’s adaptations.
Now, the company is set to expand its IP through multiple platforms over the next few years. In fact, both the CEO, David Alpert, and Skybound’s co-chairman, Jon Goldman, are addressing a keynote during Gamescom Latam 2024 to talk about the company’s future while creating intertwined universes of entertainment. The idea is to present how Skybound will seamlessly navigate through different platforms and tell larger and interconnected stories, including those in the and franchises. Their keynote will occur on June 28 at 9:35 am ET at Gamescom Latam.

Skybound’s David Alpert and Jon Goldman spoke with about their visit to Brazil for Gamescom Latam in late June. According to Alpert, “” The main idea is to expand the company’s business into what they perceive as the next big cultural polo.

“” says Goldman. Brazil is part of those plans. Skybound has already expanded its business operation into the Nordics, Japan, and Spain, for instance, looking for powerful cultural markets with international potential and help them break ground.
The Walking Dead has made several spinoffs since the main series ended and giving one forgotten hero their own show would rejuvenate the franchise.
