It's been an incredibly long road for Ubisoft's pirate title, Skull and Bones. The title has had no shortage of issues and controversies during its years of development as Ubisoft Shanghai delayed Skull and Bones numerous times, while also dealing with reported instances of workplace issues. However, through it all, Skull and Bones continued to get worked on with the studio even shifting development to incorporate a new vision, which has seemingly helped the game progress.
Over the past few months, Ubisoft has been more open with regards to Skull and Bones and how leadership is reportedly happy with how much progress the game has made. In fact, fans have been anticipating more information thanks to recent leaks and rumors which have provided new details on the open world pirate title. Even the ESRB has rated Skull and Bones, a step which is commonly taken once a game is nearing or finished development. Players will be thankfully getting answers this week thanks to a new Ubisoft showcase.
Ubisoft Confirms 3 Major Games It Plans on Releasing by March 2023
Online rumors have indicated Skull and Bones would be getting a reveal in July and sure enough, that's now confirmed. Ubisoft revealed that its upcoming title is getting a special showcase later this week on July 7 at 11am PT / 8pm CEST through Ubisoft's official YouTube and Twitch channels. During the reveal, players will be seeing brand-new gameplay and the announcement also teases new details as well including potentially discovering «hidden treasures.»
