Skarlet's voice actor in Mortal Kombat 11, Beata Poźniak, has seemingly confirmed that she and the character unfortunately won't be back for Mortal Kombat 1.
Now that the initial reveal and gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 are out of the way, most fans have turned their attention to the next big thing - the roster. NetherRealm has only officially revealed a handful of characters so far, most of which are fairly obvious choices, but there have been several leaks that give us a good idea of who might be in it.

It looks like we can count out one fan-favourite, however - Skarlet. Originally introduced as DLC for Mortal Kombat 9, Skarlet quickly became one of the roster's most beloved characters, something that only grew when she was revealed as one of the first playable characters of the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. That popularity, combined with her unique abilities, made her seem like an obvious pick for Mortal Kombat 1, but that's apparently not the case.
Over on Twitter, Skarlet's Mortal Kombat 11 voice actor, Beata Poźniak, responded to a comment that said that they were going to miss Skarlet in Mortal Kombat 1. Poźniak simply said, "Me too...", which seems to confirm that Skarlet isn't in the game, or at least that Poźniak hasn't been asked to return for her voice.
Unfortunately, this seems to track with some roster leaks that have popped up over the past few days. One big roster leak from a trusted source doesn't mention Skarlet anywhere, suggesting that she's not going to be playable at all. It's possible that she'll be featured as a Kameo fighter, but that's not been confirmed yet either. She's also not mentioned as being part of Kombat
