The Sims 4 players will be all too familiar with the dreaded error code 0. If you've had the unfortunate luck of encountering it, it means that you're unable to save your game and will end up losing hours of progress. Despite being such a massive bug, Maxis just hasn't been able to get a handle on it, meaning it's been out in the wild for a while now. However, it seems that the developers are close to a breakthrough, but they require one major ingredient – your save files.
As spotted by PCGamesN, Sims 4 quality designer, SimGuruNick explained this via their Twitter handle. "Hi Simmers, we're actively working to fix Error Code 0. I've been testing a potential fix that has worked on the majority of player-provided saves...but not all of them. So I'd like to humbly request more save files. I need to verify this gets fixed for all players, not just most".

It looks like there is some hope that error code 0 may finally be fixed once and for all. But the devs still require more save files of those affected by the error in order to test the fix. You can send them in via this link – instructions on how to do so are also included.
SimGuruNick also went ahead and recommended that players use the 'save as' work around as some players have noticed that it works despite receiving error code 0 for normal saves. Unfortunately, the error is not confined to PC and is being experienced by console players as well.
