A new Delivery Express for The Sims 4has added new Create-a-Sim items alongside a limited-time Scenario. Also called SDX, Sims Delivery Express drops are designed to add small increments of new content to The Sims 4 that don't require an entire game update, instead being added to players' games automatically. While the additions made by the Delivery Express system don't compare to the amount of content included in Sims 4 DLC, they are a way for the game to receive small doses of free content, often including seasonal or cultural items.
Out for over seven years now, The Sims 4 has recently seen free items and gameplay elements added to the game in an effort to keep it fresh outside of paid DLC. Alongside the Sims Delivery Express system, these include the in-game challenges called Scenarios, which were introduced in November 2021. Scenarios place Sims in unique situations with set goals for players to complete, such as the "Unlucky Chef" Scenario where a Sim with a high chance of starting kitchen fires strives to become a world-famous chef, or the "Engaged in Conflict" Sims Scenario in which an argumentative couple must decide whether they will go through with their wedding.
