Sifu's Early Access Is Broken On PlayStation
thegamer.comFans who paid extra to play Sifu two days early are finding that they're unable to even download the game. An unknown issue on PlayStation has caused the countdown on the storefront to freeze at zero, meaning the game is being treated as if it is still unavailable.
Developer Sloclap is aware of the issue, and says that it is working to address it as soon as possible. Fans are growing impatient, however, as those who purchased the early access on PC seem to be playing without issue.

One theory among the affected players is that this has something to do with the difference between US and European date formatting. The US uses month/day/year, whereas Europe and other regions go by day/month/year. Due to this, some players in the UK and Germany report that their account is saying the same will be available to start downloading April 2, rather than February 4 (when pre-loads were meant to go live).
However, this may not be the full story as it appears to be a widespread issue. For some reason, other players share that the PlayStation store is saying Sifu can't be downloaded for another 13 days, February 19.
It's not yet known if this is an issue on the developer's end, or Sony's. Regardless, Sloclap says it is "very sorry for the inconvenience", and is working alongside PlayStation to get this fixed soon. The last official update was two hours ago at the time of writing, with no indication as to when players can start making the most of their pre-order bonus.
On the bright side, when they eventually do get to play, there's a good chance they'll enjoy the game. The reviews came in a few hours ago, and it's (mostly) positive across the board.
