Players face a lot of enemies in Sifu that they need to beat up to progress in the story, but most can be instantly killed or at least incapacitated. Hopefully, they deserve it. It takes a while to beat everyone, though the game already has been speedrun in 40 minutes without dying. For most, it will take longer, so getting rid of foes quickly is ideal. Depending on what the player does, their opponents may technically still be breathing, but the important part is that they are out of the fight. Since players are frequently outnumbered, they should do whatever they can to gain an advantage, or they will swiftly end up dying, which isn’t much of a problem due to the game’s mechanics but still should be avoided.
Additionally, the game only has one difficulty setting, at least for now. However, Sloclap has confirmed that sometime soon, there will be updates that will add difficulty modes and more accessibility options in Sifu. Hopefully, it will make the game accessible to even more players in the near future.

In the meantime, many players find themselves getting stuck, particularly in the game’s second level—the Club. The difficulty in that level increases significantly. Players find themselves repeatedly facing hordes of enemies, and some of them are incredibly tough, aging the player character as they die again and again.
