She-Hulk: Attorney At Law director responds to the criticism of the VFX around the title character. The series stars Tatiana Maslaney as Jennifer Walters, the cousin of Bruce Banner aka The Hulk, as she balances her life between being a lawyer and a superhero. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is the next entry in the MCU following Thor: Love and Thunder and Ms. Marvel and will premiere on Disney+ on August 17, 2022.
The first trailer was met with criticism by many due to She-Hulk's appearance. While it was still months before the show's premiere the first look at the character was not a great first impression for many. A trailer with bad visual effects can do a lot of harm to a potential project, as DC knows when they rushed a Green Lantern trailer out in 2010. The trailer was met with criticism of the suit, something the film was never able to recover from and eventually went on to become a bomb. Marvel Studios likely has held off on showing a second trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law to make sure the character looks right.

In an interview with SFX Magazine, via Games Radar, She-Hulk director Kat Coiro responded to the criticism for the VFX in the trailer. Corio is aware of the mixed reaction and was prepared for it, citing the different types of characters they are looking to portray as opposed to Hulk or Thanos. Coiro says that she and Marvel Studios spent months on the character's design before going into production on the series and have since been refining the appearance during the post-production process.
