will return to the big screen next month for the 20th anniversary celebrations of Edgar Wright’s feature debut.
The zom-rom-com classic will be exclusively at Dolby Cinema at AMC Theatres screens from August 29, 2024, to September 5, 2024 for US audiences. Focus Features made the announcement.
UK and Eire audiences will have to wait a little longer for Universal Pictures International to rerelease Shaun of the Dead. It will be available there from September 27, 2024, in Dolby Cinema and Dolby Atmos.
An official 20th anniversary poster was also released, which you can view below.

Director Edgar Wright also commented on the announcement.
“Twenty years ago, the worldwide release of ‘Shaun of the Dead‘ changed my life forever. Its reception since then has continued to be incredible, largely due to the passionate fans who have championed it with cricket bats aloft. Now, as we celebrate its bloody 20th anniversary with a brand-new Dolby Atmos and Vision remastered version, I’m beyond excited for everyone to experience it once again on the big screen—the way it was always meant to be seen: large, loud, and with quite a lot of red on it.”
