Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is among the few games whose visuals were not downgraded over its original reveal. On the contrary, they have been improved considerably.
A new early comparison video put together by Cycu1 highlights how much the visuals of the second entry in the series by Ninja Theory have improved since its original reveal back in 2021. While some of the changes may not have been for the better, such as the changes made to volumetric fog and lighting, it is undeniable how the game generally looks better now than it did in 2021, even in the compressed footage used for the comparison.
Great visuals come at a cost, and to enjoy Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II at 60 frames per second and above, players will need to get the PC version and have an appropriately powerful machine capable of pushing high framerates. The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions will only run at "cinematic" 30 frames per second, although a 60 FPS mode may get implemented at a later time, as it happened with Redfall and will soon happen with Starfield.
Senua's Saga: Hellblade II launches on May 21st on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide.
