The MCU could bring back the titular Venom anti-hero (as played by Tom Hardy) and properly fit him into the timeline through its adaptation of Secret Wars. Following his brief cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Venom's tenure in the MCU seemed rather short-lived. This became a disappointing turn after the anticipation built from the post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Fortunately, this could be rectified by having Venom appear in the MCU's version of the iconic crossover event.
Tom Hardy's Venom leads the Sony cinematic universe populated with anti-heroic versions of several Spider-Man rogues, including Jared Leto's Morbius and Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Kraven the Hunter. Starting with 2018's Venom, the character has experienced a character arc where he grows into the self-proclaimed «Lethal Protector», taking on other notable symbiotic characters such as Riot and Carnage. In Let There Be Carnage's post-credits scene, it appeared that he would eventually cross paths with Tom Holland's Spider-Man, but that was cut short in No Way Home. That being said, an MCU adaption of Secret Wars means a proper role for Venom is not off the table.
