Secret 11th Boss Discovered in Molten Core in Season of Discovery
With the World First clear of Molten Core on Heat 3 by none of the above, the secret 11th boss of the raid has been discovered. While no details were given beyond the fact that it existed by Blizzard, many players joked on social media, predicting outlandish boss possibilities.
It turns out, the final boss was The Molten Core itself! This large, fiery orb rose from the lava that minutes before held the Firelord, now defeated.
The Molten Core is only available to fight on Heat 3, and seems to drop a random assortment of items all available from other bosses.
This is presumably an effort to make sure the boss remains optional, meaning players will not be forced to clear Heat 3 to get the best available items.
The Molten Core has a colossal 4 million health, and a resource bar that slowly fills up to a maximum of 1,000. As expected, players are struck with a barrage of Fire damage from spells such as Flame Burst, Flare, and Meteor.
Additionally, players are overwhelmed by Primal Flame Elementals that will try their best to kill the Hydraxian Firefighters assisting in the fight against The Molten Core.
Any guild attempting this fight will want to bring a lot of Fire Resistance.
