After the series completion in 2020, Dan Levy has shared his thoughts on returning to Schitt’s Creek for a movie. The series was given a heartfelt conclusion as each character seems to have a bright future ahead of them, contrasting their rough season 1 beginnings. While the finale was well received by viewers, interest in sequels and spin-offs has yet to cease as fans are desperate to see more from the Rose family and their friends.
Seeing such a high demand for more content, last year creator Levy (who also plays David Rose) teased the potential for a Schitt’s Creek movie. This left many fans hopeful that they would see more from this sitcom family, but Levy doesn’t take the decision lightly and was quick to say that he would only return if the right idea came along. The writer felt that the finale gave a beautiful ending to Schitt’s Creek and is apprehensive to go back without good reason.

Levy reiterated this during an interview with People, stating that he would only work on a Schitt’s Creek continuation if the story was right. This time around, the creator does appear much more optimistic about the idea, assuring fans that the cast and crew are all eager to work together again.
