Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness director Sam Raimi subtly reveals to fans how Doctor Strange might react upon meeting the famous Professor X. Marvel has dived right into exploring their multiverse with projects like Loki, WandaVision, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The latest Spider-Man movie saw Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) toy with reality to help a distraught Peter Parker (Tom Holland) and his friends, unintentionally breaking the multiverse.
The newest Doctor Strange movie is to continue the events of WandaVision and No Way Home, where the titular sorcerer will face the consequences of that spell going wrong. Until recently, information about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has been sparse (like most Marvel projects), but some of the latest trailers have suggested the inclusion of both old and new Marvel characters. X-Men fans were jumping for joy after Professor Xavier, played by Patrick Stewart, was teased as a potential addition. However, it's not likely to be the current X-Men movie version of Charles Xavier that fans have grown to love, given that he has already died twice.

While the name Professor X might mean a lot to audiences in this universe, that isn’t necessarily going to be the same across the Marvel multiverse. During an interview with Rolling Stone, Raimi touched on how the Doctor Strange 2 characters might react to one another, alluding to Doctor Strange meeting Professor X. The director says that if Doctor Strange were to meet someone from another Marvel universe, then he most likely wouldn’t even know who they are.
