Since its release last August, the Saints Row reboot has been available on PC only via the Epic Games Store, but that year-long exclusivity window is about to come to an end soon, which means the game will soon be available via other storefronts as well.
Earlier this year, updates made in the Steam database suggested that the open world title would soon be headed to the platform, and now that’s been officially confirmed. Taking to Twitter, publisher Deep Silver recently announced that Saints Row will launch for Steam on August 24.
The open world title had more than its fair share of issues upon release, which resulted in less-than-stellar sales and critical reception, so a year on from launch with multiple updates under its belt, Steam users are clearly going to get a much more polished experience, even if it might not live up to the heights series fans may have hoped at one point that it would.
Saints Row has also received two expansions in recent months with The Heist and the Hazardous and Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus, while its third and final paid DLC, A Song of Ice and Dust, will be launching on August 8.
