RuneScape has just revealed a detailed roadmap for the next year (and beyond). Expect the brand new Skilling boss, new events, Group Ironman, a brand new story quest, additional Skilling updates, new abilities, and even a new combat boss (Amascut!) and story quest next summer.
The reveals were made in the first ever RuneScape Ahead stream, and the content will begin rolling out very soon. This fall, expect the second Skilling boss, Gate of Elidinis, along with a launch event, Gate of Elidinis Hunt, and new story quest, Ode of the Devourer. Take on the new boss sometime in September.
Finally, Group Ironman is on the way. If you and a few other friends want to start a RuneScape adventure together, now's your chance. you can't benefit from assistance outside your group, so you're all in it together. Jagex announced that they will be adding some new features including cosmetic armor, and even some milestone capes. We can expect this around late October or early November.
Harvest Hollow Arrives in October, bringing the Five Horsemen setting up camp in the land of Harvest. You can join one of the five factions, or even challenge yourself to the maize maze. this is one of RuneScape’s slate of expanded seasonal events. There will be a new quest, seasonal activities, and of course, rewards. This fall, Necromancy will also get a brand new conjure, Phantom Guardian and there will be a new Necromancy Slayer Helm upgrade, and new Slayer monster.
Winter will bring the next Skilling updates and level cap of 110 for woodcutting, fletching, and runecrafting. There will also be new combat Mastery achievements. Desert Quest I is the new story quest in winter, and we’re headed back into the heat and sand. Later in winter, Desert Quest II arrives. It also wouldn't be winter without Christmas Village, which returns with new surprises for 2024.
