Call of Duty: Warzone has seen a bumpy road since the battle royale spinoff of the massively popular shooter franchise first debuted in early 2020. While the game built up a massive player base over the first year of its lifespan, that number has seemingly fallen off rapidly over its second year as Activision previously reported that the battle royale lost nearly 50 million players throughout its second year on the market. Now, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 set to come out later this year alongside Call of Duty: Warzone 2, a long-requested feature may be in the upcoming sequel.
With the breakout success of Apex Legends and the inclusion of the game's popular Firing Range mode, many Call of Duty: Warzone players have suggested a similar change for the Activision-published franchise. Apex's Firing Range gives players a chance to not only practice new characters and learn their unique abilities, but also gives them access to all the guns in the game allowing players to test different guns as well as different loadouts to suit their playstyle. Now, a recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 leak has fans speculating a Firing Range may be coming with Warzone 2.
Call of Duty: Warzone Fans Are Asking for A Firing Range Feature
Prominent Call of Duty leaker TheGhostOfHope shared a screenshot of Modern Warfare 2 this morning showing off a firing range being tested for the highly-anticipated sequel. While the leaker did not make any hard confirmations on the feature's inclusion in Warzone, they did make the assumption that it «will also come to Warzone 2.» A firing range for players to test out gun loadouts has been one of the game's most highly-requested features as players currently can only practice in less «high stakes» game
