Riot Games has unveiled Soul Fighter, an all-new summer event that spans multiple games. Inspired by the adrenaline and competition of fighting games, Soul Fighter will add in-game content to four Riot Games titles. The event will last six weeks and start on July 20 globally.
Soul Fighter takes place in a colorful alternate universe where competitors fight to prove themselves in the “Tournament of Souls”. The tournament is a competition hosted by the mysterious God’s Eye, where fighters battle it out until there is only one standing.
“We’re really excited for the range of different experiences across the League of Legends ecosystem that make up the Soul Fighter event,” stated Andrei Van Room, Senior Vice President & Studio Head of League Studio. “Arena, Soul Brawl, and Tag Duel will let players experience League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Wild Rift, respectively, in new ways that we think bring something really fresh to the table. We can’t wait to see what players think once they get their hands on them.”
As part of the Soul Fighter event, four titles will get in-game content:
For the duration of the event Riot will also contribute 20% of proceeds to the Riot Games Social Impact Fund from the sale of select items. The qualifying items are Soul Fighter Samira (skin only), Unmatched Bounty Hunter Bundle, Soul Fighter Event Pass, and the Soul Fighter Event Pass Bundle.
During the event, Riot Games will also be hosting Soul Fighter: Fight Night. This broadcast experience will take place in Los Angeles and feature a competition between 16 content creators. They will compete both in and out of the game for the chance to win the title of Fight Night Champion. The event will be livestreamed on Twitch starting at 6PM on
