The Nintendo Indie Showcase is well underway and we've just had our first surprise launch! Fight to the beat in Soundfall, launching on the Nintendo Switch later today.
Soundfall is a musically inspired dungeon crawler where you get more points and do more damage by fighting to the beat. It's a bit like Bullets Per Minute only it's third person and quite cute, rather than first-person and death metal.

The game features five heroes, Melody, Jaxon, Lydia, Brite, and Ky. All five are musically gifted people from Earth, taken to the world of music, Symphonia, by the titular Soundfall.
The big bad is called Discord. No, not the messaging service that's replacing publicly accessible internet forums. The forces of Discord in Soundfall are led by a lieutenant named Banshee. Banshee and her Discordians want to ruin music, something the five musical heroes simply won't be able to stand for.
You can play Soundfall by yourself or co-op with four friends either locally or online, meaning you can have all five heroes on screen at the same time. Each hero has a unique special attack and ultimate ability. These are tied to their signature Intstrument of Harmony, ancient musical weapons that are needed to defeat the evil forces in the game.
The entire game, campaign and the free-play mode, can be played co-op. As this is a looter shooter, you can rest assured that no one will be getting into fights over who gets what. Both the procedurally generated levels and loot awarded are player-specific. This means if you help your friend in their world, yours will remain unchanged.
