On The Real Housewives of New York City,Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel have long histories, but Jill seems more likely to return to the franchise for the upcoming RHONY: Legacy (working title) series. After mulling over a lackluster season 13, Bravo executives announced this week that they'd come up with a solution for the iconic franchise. Rather than blend new castmates into RHONY, they decided to make some big changes. With a nod to the future, they also rebooted RHONY with a brand new cast. With an eye toward nostalgia and the success of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, they are creating a separate series with original RHONY cast members.
There are currently no specifics as to who will join, but Ramona Singer might not be in the running. Ramona has rubbed people the wrong way for many years, thanks to a paper trail of offensive behavior. From referring to her staff as «the help,» partying on Tom D'Agostino's Floridian yacht at the pandemic's peak, and getting a reunion canceled for allegedly racist behavior behind the scenes, it's not looking good for her. A season full of blunders (and her monopolization of every room that she enters) makes it likely that she's out. While Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan could return, Bravo will need more talent to round out their rosters. Dorinda Medley is a strong contender. However, what most fans really want is the return of Jill and Bethenny. One of the last times the pair were seen together on the show was at Bobby Zarin's funeral, for an emotional reunion.
