Gran Turismo 7 is steadily expanding and seeing regular updates, with some welcome patches that have redressed the complaints from players surrounding race payouts. But a Tweet from the series' producer Kazunori Yamauchi is teasing new additions to the game's roster of cars.
In Yamauchi's Tweet, the veteran producer says an "Update is coming next week" along with an attached picture showing the silhouettes of three cars. As VGC noted, Gran Turismo 7 is scheduled for server maintenance on April 25, so it's quite possible that this will pave the way for these additions.

Eagle-eyed fans have suggested the three vehicles could be the Subaru BRZ ZD8, the Subaru BRZ GT300, and the Suzuki Cappuccino (hat tip @VIPswiiift). These Japanese deep cuts are pretty typical of Yamauchi's tastes and his gearhead ways, but it's not immediately clear if it's just these three cars that will be added to Gran Turismo 7 or if there will be more.
In a statement Yamauchi recently addressed the backlash from players as updates made the game even harder to grind, by reducing race payouts, while a 24-hour server outage meant players were left unable to play since the game requires an always-online connection.
Yamauchi reassured fans by stating that new cars and tracks would be added while a free bonus of one million in-game credits was paid out as compensation for the downtime. This is the equivalent to around $15 as GT7 controversially features microtransactions, as some players argued that the game was favouring real-world cash in order to buy in-game cars.
