Kazunori Yamauchi, the producer of Gran Turismo 7, has teased several new cars ahead of an update coming to the game.
In a tweet, the developer and former professional racing driver showed off 3 new cars in silhouette, with a caption reading: “Update is coming next week.”
Gran Turismo 7 is scheduled to undergo server maintenance on April 25, so it’s likely that this will include preparation for the new update.

It’s unclear which cars will be included, and if it will only be the three that have been teased.
As part of the public apology for the disastrous series of updates which saw massive backlash for players, Kazunori Yamauchi ensured that new cars and tracks would be added.
As a means of compensation for recent issues, last month Polyphony awarded Gran Turismo 7 owners one million in-game credits, which would cost around $15 if bought with microtransactions.
Yamauchi also said the studio was working on more long-term updates that will change the game further as it “develops as a live service”.
These include increasing the payout value of limited-time rewards, the addition of Online Time Trials, and enabling players to sell cars for in-game credits.
While public sentiment towards Gran Turismo 7 appears to be improving, the game maintains the lowest Metacritic user score in Sony’s history.
Based on 10243 reviews, the game has a score of 2.0. Comparatively, the game has an 87 from 117 critic reviews.
