Blizzard recently announced that they're reducing the compensation buffs for Beast Mastery for the Patch 10.0.7 nerfs to Neltharax, Enemy of the Sky. Our Beast Mastery Hunter Class writer, Tarlo, wrote an article on the original compensation buffs, and now provides an update with these new numbers to give a better understanding of where BM will roughly land when Patch 10.0.7 goes live.

Thoughts on Further Changes to Beast Mastery Hunters in 10.0.7Blizzard has announced changes to the compensation buffs given to Beast Mastery Hunters after nerfing Neltharax, Enemy of the Sky in patch 10.0.7. This would reduce the buff to Kill Command from 25% to 10% and the buff to Barbed Shot from 25% to 10%. Finally, Kill Cleave gets an additional buff, increasing the damage cleaved from Kill Command from 50% to 60%. This is mostly in line with what I discussed in my previous comment, that it's more reasonable to buff single-target by a lower amount and AoE by a larger amount. These changes now also helps make our AoE a bit more «bursty» overall. Some of my other issues remain but this is still a much more reasonable change overall. With these changes, if you do not have Neltharax, Enemy of the Sky, you can expect a 9.5% buff on single-target and a 13.5% buff on AoE.
