Red Dead Redemption 2 features one of the most sprawling and detailed open worlds ever created in gaming. Even years after the game's launch, players are still captivated by its western setting and everything it has to offer. Exploring the lands usually requires the use of a horse and sometimes the player makes mistakes, but this video clip shows a miraculous save after not being able to slow down their horse.
Red Dead Redemption 2 features all kinds of customization for horses to make them unique. Players can even brush their horse and bond with it. But when it's time to take off into the land, the player is in control, and despite some horses handling better than others, the act of horse riding in Red Dead Redemption 2 is realistic. What's not realistic, and barely believable in the game itself, is how a player manages to crash into something, get knocked off, and somehow avoids face planting on the ground.

In the video clip posted to Reddit by user persekarvatrimmeri on September 11, the Red Dead Redemption 2 player manages to capture what could be a once-in-a-lifetime moment in the game. In the video, the player takes off on a horse, full-speed, towards a brown fence and tries to dismount before hitting the barrier. Just as the horse makes impact with the fence, and during the dismount animation, John is sent flying, which is normal in the game. What's not normal is that John flips sideways over the fence and lands on his feet.
