A Red Dead Redemption 2 player accidentally makes a Lord of the Rings reference while attempting to escape pursuit in the game. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game with what many consider a strong narrative and incredibly immersive open world. While the story of Red Dead Redemption 2 deals with a serious tone as Arthur Morgan struggles to hold the Van der Linde gang together, due to the game's non-linear structure, its open world can produce some hilarious moments.

Beginning with Arthur Morgan dismounting from his horse, he begins to run from the law enforcement who are rapidly approaching, eventually hiding under a rock. The law approaches, looking around for the player, but cannot find him due to the rock giving Arthur perfect cover, leading to BigmanJacob08 making the comparison with a famous Lord of the Rings scene.
