Bayonetta 3's newest trailer has a pink-haired Bayonetta who transforms into a playable demon spider woman capable of scaling walls and swinging through the city. Not only is this a cool little bit of gameplay we can look forward to, reminiscent of a more hellish Spider-Man, but it confirms the theory that there are Bayonetta variants in 3.
The first two games featured time travel but fans theorised that the third would step into a more current pop culture phenomenon - multiverses. We've got everything from Warner Bros' IP mish-mash MultiVersus to Marvel's Secret Wars saga to Everything Everywhere All at Once. Multiverse is in, multiverse is hot, Multiverse it's gonna be.

There were even theories that the main Bayonetta is actually a grown-up Cereza, or that there are two main timelines converging with other variants hopping in such as the newly-revealed pink-haired Bayonetta that can transform into a nightmarish spider monster. Whatever the case, it seems to confirm that a previously-seen Bayonetta is another variant, not her future self.
In the release date trailer, we caught a glimpse of Bayonetta in a red outfit with an eyepatch. Some speculated that this was another variant like the one we've seen in the newest trailer, but the closer similarities to the main Bayonetta left the possibility of time travel up in the air, so it wasn't an outright confirmation of multiple Bayonetta's. But it looks like she's another of the bunch.
