Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Extraction is not only an odd addition to the tactical shooter genre but seemingly mimics other Tom Clancy games like The Division and Ghost Recon. Extraction is based on a limited-time event in Rainbow Six Siege titled Operation Chimera. Inspired by that event, Extraction utilized the gameplay mechanics and features from Siege. However, this does not make Extraction just a cut and paste of Siege as the game changes the features and gameplay mechanics to fit its setting.
As players progress through Rainbow Six Extraction, the borrowed gameplay mechanics and features seemingly go beyond just Rainbow Six Siege. From Ghost Recon to The Division, Extraction borrows from other Tom Clancy games in playstyle and overall setting. Moreover, some of the mission objectives in Rainbow Six Extraction feel more akin to RPG shooters in the vein of Destiny or Fallout 76. As a result, the game becomes less of a unique experience and more a jigsaw puzzle of the greatest hits from other Tom Clancy games.

While Rainbow Six Extraction's foundation is naturally from Rainbow Six Siege, it seemingly mimics other playstyles and narratives. The playstyle and importance of stealth are seemingly ripped straight from Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint, whereas the setting is eerily similar to The Division with the operators in Extraction even sporting watches like the agents from that series. The end result is a mishmash of different Tom Clancy titles, meaning that Extraction feels less like a Rainbow Six game, and more an amalgamation of other Ubisoft projects.
