When inventory is full in Raft, it is possible for players to discard the unwanted items. This can be done by either pressing Q or dragging the item away from the inventory using the cursor. However, instead of throwing items away, it’s better if players first consider getting storage to keep their excess items.
But if the inventory is filled while traveling outside the raft, people won’t have any choice but to sort out which item they want more than the other. This can be really frustrating as sometimes this means rafters have to throw away useful items. To avoid being forced into this, Raft players can craft a Backpack instead.

To increase inventory size in Raft, players must equip a Backpack on their character. Only one Backpack will take effect, so make sure to not make more than required. This is especially important as, unlike some equipable items in Raft, Backpacks will not decay or break.
