Publisher AMATA K.K. has revealed it's porting PSVR game Last Labyrinth to PSVR2 on 22nd March 2023, and will also enable it to be playable on flat screens for both PS5 and PS4 via a patch. There will be a free PSVR to PSVR2 upgrade for current owners, but save data and Trophy unlocks won't be shared between the two versions. It's priced at $29.99.
The PSVR2 Sense controllers will be utilised by the new version on PS5, and so will haptic feedback inside the headset itself. The 22nd March 2023 release date means early adopters have this to look forward to alongside The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR and The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners Chapters 1 + 2 next month. Resident Evil 4 will also have PSVR2 support, but it's not known whether that'll be there at launch and how much of the game will be playable in VR.
The original PSVR version of Last Labyrinth commands a Metacritic rating of 64, so let's hope the title is improved on PSVR2. Are you interested? Let us know in the comments below.
Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
Not their best game. Onogoro looks better.
@thefourfoldroot1 Oh, now you're coming around on Onogoro huh?
@NEStalgia Lol, it looks better (as their next game after this), is not to say it’s exactly a day one purchase. I’d certainly go for that before this though.
Well, I added this back onto my wishlist after I just removed culling my PSVR1 wishlist items as I might play stuff I already own (maybe), but don’t want to buy more. I hope we see many more such ports.
