PlayStation finally confirmed the rumors about a new PS5 model were true last month, unveiling a newer, slimmer model of its latest console. That model will be available to buy later this week, almost exactly three years after the launch of the original console, with a disc version and a digital version to choose from. It seems some retailers are preparing for a similar onslaught to the one that made PS5s very hard to find in 2020 as at least one listing for the console is already ready to go.
Best Buy's store page for the new PS5 bundled with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has popped up three days ahead of schedule. Before you rush to the link below to get your order in before everyone else, even though the store page exists, you can't actually place an order yet. Where the add to cart button will eventually be on Friday is currently just a grey "coming soon". It does reveal how much the bundle will cost though, retailing for $499.99.
PlayStation's newer, slimmer model is available with or without a disc drive, and also bundled with various games. This particular bundle includes a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
That's actually a pretty good price if it's the one Best Buy is going to stick with on release day as it effectively means you'll be getting Modern Warfare 3 free with the console. PlayStation has already confirmed the disc drive version of its new PS5 will cost $499.99, and that the digital-only one will be $449.99. You will also be able to buy a disc drive separately for $79.99 should you buy the digital edition and decide you want to use physical media at a later date.
