Update: PlayStation Direct currently has the Horizon Forbidden West PS5 bundle in stock, and it's been in stock since yesterday. We've seen numerous PS5 restocks at PS Direct this week, and each one remains available longer than the previous one. You don't even have to wait in a queue now. The standalone PS5 and PS5 Digital are currently sold out at PS Direct and major retailers, but we wouldn't be surprised at all to see both of those pop up again soon. To purchase a PS5 at PS Direct, you have to sign into your PSN account. Shoppers can only purchase one PS5 at PlayStation Direct.
While it's too early to say for sure, signs are pointing to PS5 stock stabilizing in the coming weeks and months. For the first time since launch, PS5 restocks are no longer selling out in minutes. Best Buy hosted a restock last week that remained available for two hours. And the console has gone in and out of stock all week at PlayStation Direct.
You're still unlikely to find the PS5 on store shelves, and most major retailers are sold out of the PS5, but the situation is starting to mirror what we saw with the Xbox Series X. First, the consoles no longer sell out in minutes, and then they become readily available at at least one major retailer nearly all the time. We are cautiously optimistic that the concept of PS5 restocks may be a thing of the past before long.
