When I just powered on my PS4 I got the shutdown warning that usually shows up when the console loses power while turned on. I definitely turned it off the normal way so.I'm concerned, anyone else have this issue?
The same has happened to me a few times the past 3-4 years on my PRO. I get the warning and it then just starts regular or it does data base reset. Not a full data base rebuild which takes a long time, but a quick reset or whatever it is.
What you mention seems to occur when I power down right after I exit browsing the PSN store for a while. Also sometimes when I go from an extended store visit back to home screen everything is slower for a while, the ui, gallery, and anything using the internet. I think that is when I will sometimes get the improperly turn off warning. My original PS4 back 8 years ago had the same slowdown after exiting the store sometimes, but without the message of improper power down.
Overall there seems to be some issue with the PSN store, with my 2 PS4's and my internet at least. When I exit the store I am in the habit now of powering off and back on before streaming or playing online whether I have a noticeable slow down or not. When I do get the noticeable slowdown I do an internet reconnect before powering off or playing offline. I visit the store only about two times a month.
Hope this helps. And yes my PRO still works fine after all those warning messages and 5.5 years of daily use.
@NoCode23 I can’t remember what I was doing just before I powered down but I’ll keep that in mind. Luckily I only use the store when I actually know what I’m getting so it’s pretty rare.
